The bakery is buzzing from early morning as trainees work alongside our experienced staff to make rolls, breads, oatcakes, tray bakes, biscuits and cakes as well as individual cashew-nut pies and hummus. Products such as hot cross buns, mincemeat pies and Christmas cakes also make their regular seasonal appearances and are always very popular.
Our bakery products are used extensively in-house within the café and conference service, and the Engine Shed van is out on the road every day delivering to shops, restaurants and cafes throughout the city. You can also buy a wide selection of bakery goods and tofu from our stall at the Edinburgh Farmers' Market every Saturday morning. A great way to start the weekend!
The bakery offers a unique training experience and there is always something new to learn.
All our breads are certified 100% organic by the Organic Food Federation. As well as our ever popular wholemeal bread we make a wide range of other breads, including several that are suitable for those on yeast free or wheat free diets.
If you would like to find out more, or want to place an order for any of our bakery products please give us a call. Our customers range from individuals who make a weekly order for bread, to the Royal Yacht Britannia Trust who we supply with a special fruit cake for their café, so whatever your needs we will do our best to meet them.
